During my May trip to California, while driving through the Los Angeles area, there were billboards EVERYWHERE for this wine, Stella Rosa. Hmmm, so my thoughts were, it's either REALLY good stuff, or yucky over marketed stuff.
So, while we were grabbing a quick snack in a grocery store before my sisters wedding in San Juan Capistrano, I ventured over to the wine section to see if they had this Stella Rosa. And, of course they did, including the Peach one that I wanted to try for sure. I grabbed it! It was on sale...LOL
And for all of my wine friends that know me, it would be almost shocking for me to buy a wine without tasting it first! I grew up in California wine country, and I am buying wine in the grocery store.....ha ha.....oh yes, I used to be a mild wine snob, I admit it! I will go into my background in another post.
So, in my hands, I had the Stella Rosa Peach! - Fingers crossed that I was going to love it!
This bottle of wine endured the trip home packed in checked luggage from LAX, and the car ride home, then straight into the fridge! YES! It survived!
It was about a day in the fridge before I opened it. I was hoping the heat from the travel had not ruined it! Popped the cork, it smelled WONDERFUL! YAY!
Into the glass it went, with the tiniest of tiny bubbles! First sip.....HEAVEN! - And my next thought was "WHY DIDN'T I BUY A CASE"!!!! Nice, summery, crisp, no too sweet peachy goodness!!!
